Company Trip to Surabaya, Indonesia - Part 06 - The trip back home

The final day. Time to pack up and fly back home. While checking out at the lobby, saw this antique stall that was just set up. Load of interesting stuff.

The US Navy diving helmet is cool.

A table clock shaped as a globe with 4 clocks surrounding it. I don't think this is antique as the clocks are all quartz.

I believe this is another reproduction since the watch is also quartz.

The mantle piece clock is antique. The winding mechanism does put it in the correct era.

It took about an hour and a half to get to the airport. Its not that far but traffic is terrible.

This was the bus that took us to the airport.

I had a wonderful time in Surabaya.

Company Trip to Surabaya, Indonesia - Part 02 - Arrival and a quick city tour

After a three hour flight, we arrived at Juanda Airport near Surabaya. After going through the immigration and customs formalities we waited for the bus to pick us up to go to the City.

The 44 sitter bus has a smoking room! It also has a bathroom that is specific in nature ("Khusus Kencing" - Only for Peeing).

With everyone on the bus, we started towards the city. However, before we head to the hotel, there will be a short city tour and a pit-stop for lunch somewhere.

It took one hour to get from the airport to the city.

The first stop is the Semporna Cigarette Museum.

Nice stain glass mural.

After that we went to the Warriors' Memorial Park. Surabaya is the place where the war of independence started.
