Death by falling at the Suasana Loft Condominium, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur

Yesterday, approximately 5 pm in the evening, a lady jumped from the 36th floor of Block A, Suasana Loft Condominium, KL Sentral. She fell to her death on the driveway into the carpark on level 3A (4th floor).

The Police can be seen taking evidence around the body before being put into the body bag and on to the stretcher (near the cones).

It seems that some parts of the body was severed due to the high-speed impact on the hard reinforced concrete floor.

Sunday morning around KL Sentral

Sunday is a very quiet day around KL Sentral. All offices are closed and the only activity is centred around the main station. Below is the A'Loft Hotel.

NU Sentral is the new shopping mall for KL Sentral.

The three signature offices for UEM, MIDA and SSM.

Sooka Sentral - a food mall.

The latest developments are at the peripheral of KL Sentral. The new St Regis Hotel is one of them.

There are a lot of gardens around KL Sentral.

Unfortunately, a number of people using this non-busy period to park haphazardly.

The residential quarters for KL Sentral where the condominiums are located.

Buildings are close to one another here in KL Sentral.

A free ride on the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur shuttle bus from KL Sentral to the hotel

Yesterday, went on a free ride on the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur shuttle bus from KL Sentral to the hotel. The bus is there every half hour and can be found at the entrance of the ERL Arrival Hall.

The conductor wears a very period costume. I got a picture with him.

When we took the bus we were the only one on it.

A selfie with my son (with my daughter photobombing!).

A small field in KL Sentral

Do you know that there is a small field in KL Sentral? It is on this field that people will evacuate to when there is an emergency at their respective buildings. This field is situated at the end of the UEM building.

From the field, the UEM building looks very grand.

You can also see the 1Sentral building as well from this field.

Across the field and across Jalan Travers is the new Bank Rakyat HQ.

 Plaza Sentral.

The small field. This access to this field is only via KL Sentral. There is no way to get to it via Jalan Travers.

Sunday walk around KL Sentral

On Sunday had a walk around KL Sentral. Very quiet place on the weekend. Below is Sooka Sentral.

The Suasana Loft Condominium. Part of the new Shell Corporate HQ can be seen between the two towers.

Here is Plaza Sentral. A lot of movies have used this place as a backdrop.

Pool side an the top of A'Loft Hotel, Kuala Lumpur Sentral

At the top of A'Loft Hotel, Kuala Lumpur Sentral is the pool and bar. Here, the view is breath-taking. The pool is similar to the Sand's Resort in Singapore.

Can see Kuala Lumpur from this vantage point.

Sink design at the Loft Hotel, KL Sentral

If you have the chance to visit the Loft Hotel in KL Sentral, just pop into a the common washroom. You will be able to see interesting designs. One of which is this common sink that is like arranged in a circle (just like in Harry Potter's movie).

Business trip to Jakarta, March 2013

Had to go to Jakarta for a couple of days for meetings. This time flew by KLM so, I can't check in immediately at KL Sentral. As I will be lugging my bag around, I took a small one this time around.

Waiting at the ERL platform. Free wifi, which is always nice.

Afternoon flight so the train was not full at all. I guess, I was the only one in my coach.

After checking in, another train ride to the main terminal - Terminal C.

The B777 of KLM that I would be using. Weather was overcast with occasional showers.

Self-portrait.

Economy class.

Stayed at Novotel Hotel in Jakarta, the one close to Plaza Indonesia. A small room but has everything. Was told that this was originally the Nikko Hotel.

First evening went to old Jakarta to this old colonial restaurant called the Batavia situated in the old Dutch Governor's mansion.

What they serve. The menu is actually the pictures hung on the wall. Every picture has a menu printed at the back.

The front of my menu.

Next day, dressed for work.

Fighting the Jakarta traffic.

A very quiet corridor of a building in Jakarta.

Meeting room in one of the company I visited.

Jakarta city from the highway.

Pool area of the hotel.

Gazebos.

The pool. Pity it is not secluded from the other buildings.

Part of the Plaza Indonesia mall as seen from my room.

Another view of the same.
