Over the weekend, the whole family decided to utilise the vouchers I got to get a free night stay at Double Tree Hotel. Got two rooms on the Executive Floor. This allowed us to use the executive lounge which was on the 34th floor.
My wife and daughter relaxing while waiting for our rooms to be ready. Unfortunately, you can only register for a room after 2:00 pm. In our case, we got the first room early but the second room was only available for us at 3:30 pm. Since we have access to complimentary drinks and food in the lounge, the waiting wasn't that bad.

Finally got our room. The rooms were on the 26th floor. You get a king sized bed as well as a couch that can double up as an extra bed for a kid.
The room is not that big. The wash area has a glass paneling which allow one to see all the way through. Nevertheless, a motorised shade is available for some privacy.
The LCD TV is imbedded inside one of the feature walls.
The washroom does not have a tub. It comes with an enclosed shower area. The floor and walls are made out of marble. Slippery and cold when wet.
The wash basin is very minimalist.
Despite it being a free stay, Double Tree was nice enough to give some complimentary fruits and cake. In fact, both rooms got it.
After storing our stuff in the room, I took the two younger kids to the pool. The pool in Double Tree is situated on the 10th floor. It is also a salt water pool. The only issue I have with the pool is that it is chilly. The buildings around stops it from warming up through the sun rays throughout the day. You can only get the full force of the sun an hour or two before and after noon. Moreover, the wind is strong and you can get a chill.
From our room we get the Western view and here the scenery changes. Now, a lot of tall buildings can be seen.
The hotel is part of a bigger building complex called the Intermark. Hence the lobby of the hotel is shared with other tenants of the building complex. There's restaurants, grocery stores and many more shops in the complex. This allows us the choice where we want to eat apart from the hotel. In fact, only breakfast was in the hotel, we had lunch and dinner in other establishments.
