Presented a joint paper with my colleague at a conference in Sasana Kijang, BNM. We were at the lecture hall early to set up the slides.

Invited to Jakarta to present a paper at a conference - 04 - November 2013 - The Conference

The conference organised by the Indonesian Bond Pricing Agency was a major one. Key players in the Indonesian bond market participated. Since the Chairman of the Indonesia financial services authority or OJK will be officiating the event, a big VIP room allocated. Food and drink were provided at the side of this large room.

The stage in the main ballroom. I was the only international participant invited to speak at this local-centric conference on the bond market. I felt honoured.

Since this is a local-centric event, I had to speak in Bahasa for a good portion of my presentation as well as during the questions and answers session. Awkward!!!

Briefing for Senior Financial Market Executives form Iran

I was recently invited to brief a group of senior financial market executives from Iran about the Malaysian Bond & Sukuk market. I was one of a few invited Malaysians to share experience with the Iranian. I was impressed they came all the way to Kuala Lumpur to learn.

The participants which numbered about 20 are all Iranians.

Due to some language barriers, a special translation booth has been set up to broadcast live transaction of my presentation. Looks just like in the United Nations.

Honestly, I am proud to know that people all over the way recognised our expertise.

Presented a paper at a Media Workshop organised by Bond Pricing Agency Malaysia

This morning of the 7 March 2012, Bond Pricing Agency Malaysia or BPAM organised a media workshop of media professionals at the Boulevard Hotel, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur. Attended by print, ratio, TV and internet journalists, the half-day event was intended to impart knowledge about the Malaysian fixed income market as well as the sukuk market.

NKRA Presentation by YB Dato' Seri Idris Jala

I had the opportunity to attend a talk by YB Dato' Seri Idris Jala on the NKRA. After the two hour talk, I was truly impress with the though that have gone through to make it a plausible programme.

I do wish if his talk on the subject can be recorded and put it up YouTube for everyone to see. His style is like Steve Job of Apple. He does not use the rostrum. Instead he uses the whole stage to get the message across.
