Reading this book: SHerlock Holmes, the complete stories

Reading this book by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Been reading about Sherlock Holmes in bits and pieces. When I saw this book that compiles everything about the famous detective, I had to have it.

Read a book: this was the second book that I got from Amazon - Top Gear The Cool 500

Got this book from Amazon. Funny story: when it got to me it was busted quite badly. The packaging was atrocious. The sides were squashed and the top part of the spine was torn. Complained to Amazon and they gave me a complete refund (including courier charges). I don't even have to return the book back.

Anyway, loads of photos. Even my son finds it interesting.

Reading a new book: Original Uncensored Edition of the Stuka Pilot by Han Ulrich Rudel (foreword by Douglas Bader)

Got this book from Amazon. The English grammar is not book quality. Poor editorial job. But the stories in the book is excellent.

Enid Blyton's The Three Strange Travellers and Other Stories

I read this book more than 40 years ago. Now my youngest is reading it.

It goes to show that books can be timeless. You only need your mind to imagine what you read. Much better than TV or the movies.

GO READ A BOOK! YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.

A book on Graham Watch Company

While walking window shopping in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, I happened to enter a watch shop that carries the Graham watch brand. After talking to the sales representative, she was nice enough to give me a nice hardcover book on the history of the Graham watch Company for my reading pleasure.

Happy to receive it. Got something interesting to read in the evening!

Interesting book-ends: THOR

I really like this THOR themed book-ends. It really looks cool. Very artistic and a very good conversation piece to have around the house or office.

Last Monday (21 April 2014) was the launching of the first printed publication from BPAM. The event was held in the SC.

It was just a small event with about 30 guests. Below was the scene during the setting up of the room.

A selfie with a colleague.

Guests mingling, having breakfast before the event started.

Trip to Penang Island & Hard Rock Hotel - Day 1.3 - The Hotel room

[see previous postings]

The room that we chosen was the suite. The room was on the 5th floor and overlooks the car park. A similar suite overlooks the swimming pool and if you are keen, you can get the suite with direct access to the pool situated on the ground floor of the hotel.

The room comes with a king-size bed. Note the photograph of the Beatles at the head of the bed.

The TV and the low laying cabinet. The hotel provide DVD player as well as a radio system.

Toilet is a bit small for a suite and it does not come with a bathtub.

The suite comes with a kids room. Can easily fit in 4 kids as the beds (including the sliding one) are slightly smaller than queen size. It also comes with a well stock library of children's books as well as soft toys. My kids went wild.

The main attraction of this room is the Sony PS3 console plus TV.

You can see the cubby holes with books and soft toys.

My son acting out a "toilet" scene!

To be continued.
