The day has come for the company party at Cedar 15, Impiana Hotel, KLCC. The buffet tables are being topped up with food and the dining room is ready for guests.

Expecting 250 guest tonight.

The small stage for my speech is also ready.

The VIP room in case anyone is keen to use it.

A surprise birthday party to my friend T. Azmil with the old St John gang

It was Azmil's 44th birthday and his wife wanted to arrange a surprise birthday party. So we got the St John gang together (plus family) at the Chinese restaurant in KL Hilton. Since we were the first to arrive, we got the kids to blow up balloons.

Anantha. Chong and family was supposed to come but unfortunately could not make it in the last minute due to some domestic problem (maid flew the coop!).

The birthday cake. Since it was Merdeka, a Malaysian flag was apt for the occasion. Happy birthday Mac and a big hand to Salena for making it happen.

Birthday party at an Yemeni restaurant in Republika - Marhaba

I seldom go to Republika but I must confess that before you make the trip there, you need to know where you are going because the car park is huge. If you park at the wrong side, you need to take a long walk to get to your destination.

The Marhaba restaurant is very classy. This is a Yemeni restaurant which offers authentic Yemeni cuisine. As it was a birthday party, it was nice of the restaurant to arrange some balloons. The table setting is very formal.

The environment is very Arabic with a lot of Arabic theme stuff like the standing lamp seen below.

The food was excellent. When it was time to bring out the cake, a waitress dressed in traditional Yemeni costume emerged with the cake.

A fancy dress wedding reception - how cool is that!

My colleague had a very cool wedding reception where all the guests were asked to come in costume. Below was the thank you speech by the bridge and groom.

Last weekend was my cousin Eff's wedding reception at Shangrila Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. I wasn't there but my sister-in-law took some photos which I posted below.

Celebrated my wife's birthday at Cyna Restaurant

It was my wife's birthday and I decided to her and the kids to a fancy Chinese restaurant. We had a wonderful time and the Top Chef, Mr Lam personally handled the dishes.
