Predelivery of my Putrajaya house @ 2004

The months that followed after making the downpayment for the house was very exciting. In February 2004, got news that the bulk of the house is up and the contractors are putting the finishing stuff the the interior as well as the garden (included in the package). So, off we went as a family to see the new home.

We arrived at the location in the afternoon. The house looks impressive (if I do say so myself!). The first comment that I got from my wife is: How to clean such a big house? (we stopped having a maid for the last 2 years).

Its a Semi-D house with 3 floors, 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a pantry room and 2 study areas.

Since the garden is provided upfront, it save me time to get something growing. At the time, I didn't know whether I have green fingers.

There is a nice walking path beside by house so it would feel as if my side garden is very wide.

In front of the house is a huge park. This is the main reason I bought this place. Nice place for the kids to run around and for the adults to exercise.

My adjacent neighbour is far away.

The carpet grass. Nice.

The shot below was taken from the second floor overlooking the first floor family room. Good thing the contractors use the long strip of wood for the flooring instead of the traditional 6 inch pakir.

There was so much to see that we spent the whole afternoon in the house. This picture was taken from the top floor overlooking the main park.

I think it was only then that it dawned on me the amount of internal fittings that I need to get on my own. Although the developer provided for all the main fixtures, lighting and cupboards are on our own.

One thing that I don't agree with the interior designer of the SP Setia is the colours used. The designer likes to put pinkish colours to one of the sides, as a form of a feature wall. Will have to get it repainted.

A little alcove in the masterbedroom. Definitely need repainting!

The toilets have floor to ceiling tiling, which is good.

The kitchen too have floor to ceiling tiling.

My eldest. At that point she is only 5 years old.

Honestly, you're right. Since we don't have any maid, got to clean and mop it ourselves - a very good workout!
