I am thankful that I live in Malaysia instead of Saudi Arabia

My brother-in-law is currently working in Saudi Arabia. Yesterday he sent a photo of his car dashboard just before he headed out for work. Note the ambient temperature captured by his car's thermometer -> 46 degree Celsius!

I am thankful Malaysia is not that hot.

A hot night in Kuala Lumpur

It's already 9:55 pm and the temperature is still at 29.5 degrees Celsius.

Cooler days this past one week

Since the start of the Fasting Month, the weather here in Kuala Lumpur has been downcast and cloudy. It does help reduce the pollutants in the air and makes its more bearable in the afternoon. Below is a photo I took near Assunta Secondary School around 5:10 pm yesterday.

Weird weather patterns

Russian is suffering a heat wave. Pakistan suffering flooding. Two unrelated events but it shows us how weather patterns have gone bonkers in the last decade.

Should we worry? Honestly, we shouldn't. Throughout the Earth's long history, there were global flooding, draught and ice age, one after another. What we are experiencing is just the normal life cycle of this planet.

Why I don’t think there is such a thing as “global warming”

All this talk about "global warming" is just hogwash. The world have been around for 4.5 billion years and as it goes through cycles. The idea that man could, during the last 200 years, irreparably change the world's weather is preposterous. The thought that owning cars could be a major contributor to carbon dioxide poisoning of the world has been disproved as the methane generated by cows generated more greenhouse gasses! The moral of the story? Start eating meat and stop being a vegetarian!

Another great fallacy is the thought that development in green powered cars would be a positive impact to the environment. The cost of using exotic materials to make such a vehicle compared to the simple internal combustion engine does not justify the investment and the use of such resources. In fact, the best performing car is the VW Polo 1.4 diesel engine. This car's fuel efficiency even beat the likes of the Toyota Prius.

The moral of the story: just consume in moderation.

Raining cats and dogs at the moment!

The rain is really coming hard now. It is 9:23 am in the morning and thankfully got into office before it started to pour. Smart Tunnel will be close this evening I suspect. This must be part of the great cold front coming down from the Artic that is affecting Northern Asia.
