The Putrajaya Floria 2014 exibition
For the next week, the 2014 Putrajaya Flower Festival or Floria 2014 will be held in Presint 3, beside the lake. Unlike the previous events, guests will have to get a ticket to get it. For adults its RM4 and for children between 7 - 12 its RM1. Senior citizens gets in for just RM1.
Went there early. After parking the car at a very strategic spot away from the traffic jam, I went to the ticket booth to buy the tickets for the family. Since we were early, we decided to go to the giant food court tent for breakfast. A lot of choices.
After entering the gates, we saw a section on School and University Garden Competition. This should be interesting.
I thing that I want to highlight is the level of crowd. Its now a more pleasant experience. It was a good choice for making this year a paying event. Otherwise the whole area will be overwhelmed with crowds.
It was a nice day. Not that hot.
Interesting garden concepts. The competition is based on using recycle stuff to create gardens.
My kids acting a tea time scene.
Self portrait :)
Putting colourful gel in plastics....
Entries from Secondary Collages...
Some of the exhibits under a tent.
Table decorations. Very refreshing.
Quite impress with some schools. Pity my old school didn't participate.
Using just PVC pipes...
Nice garden for an apartment.
A rock garden.
A garden that uses export crates.
Interesting concept.
An explanation on the concept.
Get it? :)
A garden designed for weddings.
A lot of things to see.
Love the way they arranged the umbrellas to cover the whole walk-a-way.

Visited the 2013 Putrajaya Flower Show last weekend
Went to the 2013 Putrajaya Flower Show last weekend. Busy place and there's lots to see. Below is the plan of the whole exhibition area.
On both side of the road fronting the lake, pavilions were set up.
Was in one such pavilion. Each pavilion has it theme.
Near the main pavilion, flower arranging by people from all over the world. This particular example of an elephant was done by a Thai.
