On the river, we stopped at a floating fish farm for refreshments as well as a toilet break. By this time we were on the water for more than two hours. At the fish farm we saw a number of different types of fish being breed.
Each type of fish (age groups as well) is grouped into its own individual ponds created by laying down a net in the river.
You can then breed the fish as well as easily harvest them when needed.
I believe this is a Talapia.
Some weird fish from outside sometimes get into the nets. Below is such a fish. I don't think it can be eaten.
Puffer fish?!? Very poisonous if you don't know how to prepare the fish for cooking.
Stingray. Caught by hand!
I knew only then that you can breed stingray in a farm.
Here you see one of the tourist trying to touch a living stingray.
Turtles. But we were told by the owner that this is not for sale or for food. His pet!
Azhar having a whale of a time.
One of the oldest living fossils - the Horseshoe Crab.
Sea urchin.
Eels.
TO BE CONTINUED.
