Pictorial Journal on my family holiday to Tanjung Rhu, Langkawi - March 2008 - Eagle feeding - Part 05



Langkawi Island is named after its famous eagles ("Lang" ~ Eagles). While cruising along the mangrove swamp, one can see a number of large eagles roaming the sky. Below is one magnificent specimen.



A group has started to converge over our boat.


Here we can see them diving into the sea to fish, just like seagulls.






We counted about 2 dozen birds.

Wow, that's a lot of photos of Eagles. Nice shots too. Been quite some time since I went to Langkawi. Must do a trip there again.
