We then waited for our train to Leuchars Station via Virgin Trains East Coast.
King's Cross Station is modern. A lot of shops.
Sitting at our allocated seats. The journey is 5 and a half hours.
No on-board entertainment. Read a book or look out of the windows.
Leaving the station.
The English countryside. Wind turbine generators.
Solar panel farm.
The first view of snow.
The North Sea. Passed Edinburgh and now on the way to our final destination.
Leuchars Station is a simple station with a small covered waiting area.
Apart from that there are the ticketing office and the vending machine. That's all the station is.
We took the bus to get to St Andrews. It was just a 5 minute drive away. But it did take us 350 meters of walking to get to our hotel.
The time was 4 pm but it was already dark. While walking my son saw this funny road sign.
Despite it being a weekday (a Monday) no much activities in St Andrews.
A real quiet town.
To be continued.
