USA Trip 2013: Part 3.3 - Second half of the day at Disney California Adventure Park

[Please refer to previous postings]

There are a number of 4D shows at the Disney California Adventure Park. This particular attraction is with the Muppets.

The massive stage.

Set in Opera style concept, in this particular attraction, you get sprayed with water, smoked, have things poking your legs and back and, feel something moving under your seat! Awesome.

A typical cartoon animators desk.

My son tired with all the adventure! Only then we realised that we have not gotten lunch yet. So, off we went to search for a place to eat.

The Pacific Wharf was where we found our lunch.

Got ourselves some Chinese takeaway favorites.

After lunch we headed toward the Bug's Life Land. Here we found a fruiting orange tree. This whole area where Disney Resort is situated used to be an orange orchard (hence the term Orange County). But now, nothing is left of that era.

My son next to a stroller car-park.

Here the rides are mostly for small kids.

There was also a 4D show which was fun.

An old time amusement park ride classic, bumper cars.

The waiting time notice. However, in actual fact, there was no waiting time at all!

A typical fishermen pier except that its all made up! Only the birds were real.

The main attractions are all clustered at the California Pier area. This place is called the Boardwalk.

The wild roller-coaster.

A shooting arcade where you sit on a moving car and you will be able to shoot at 3D targets. Best of all your scores are tallied.

Night came and we went on the huge Ferris Wheel.

The Park at night.

Halfway up the Ferris Wheel. Can see our hotel from here (the tall building on the left).

This is another roller coaster that my son loves.

The colourful Ferris Wheel.

We then continued to walk around the park. The wilderness area teaches visitors about the importance of the forests and mountains. Here the kids tried their hands at rope gliding.

...rock climbing..

There is one ride here that is featured as one of the 'must-go' attraction but because it involves water, its close during this period as people are expected to get wet.

This ride is 4D and you get to see the whole of California in interesting ways.

Its 10:00 pm. We have spent more then 14 hours in the park. Happy but tired. Back to the hotel.

The road to our hotel.

To be continued.
