My Dubai Trip - Part 9

Continuation from http://meoramri.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-dubai-trip-part-8.html.

One interesting section of the mall is the Gold Souk. Here, hundreds of shops selling all manner of jewelry can be found. From traditional styles to modern designs can be found. Although I am not particularly fond of jewelry, I did go and walk around the souk to experience it.

Loads of gold paint as well as colourful stones are used for the facade of the souk. In the picture below, you can see how rich the ID of this section of the mall was done.

The statue of the horse is the same scale as a real one so that is a good reference to judge how big everything is.

There was also a replica of a King's throne decked with jewels (not real, of course!) which you are allowed to touch and sit on.
