Van Dam Nordia launches second 70' Performance Cruiser

A year after the launch of the first 70’ Performance Cruiser Marmalade of Manchester, the Van Dam Nordia shipyard has announced the completion of the second PC70. An extensive development of the yacht’s semi-custom platform resulted in an efficient and smooth build procedure, with further fine tuning of the technical equipment. Both the new PC 70 and her predecessor will be on display at one or more of the upcoming boat shows on Amsterdam, Southampton and Monaco.

While sharing the strength and elegance of Marmalade of Manchester, the second PC70 also has a distinctive character all of her own. Her Pacific Midnight Blue hull and Moon Glow Silver metallic superstructures give an impression of sleek luxury. And this theme is continued in the bright and spacious interior, where first class materials are incorporated with functional discretion. In this way the light maple panels with walnut borders enhance the intelligent shape of the interior.

The four-cabin layout is also smart in both senses of the word. A full beam owners’ stateroom in the aft makes sure that every square centimetre is put to good use while the engine room easily exceeds class standards. Like every Van Dam Nordia yacht, easy maintenance and good access to the technical equipment are a given. The large lazarette provides ample space for storing the tender, watersports toys and diving gear.

Following the success of Marmalade of Manchester and the increasing number of inquiries for the second PC70, the Van Dam Nordia yard has now started construction of a third PC70. This is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2010.
