SuperYacht of the week: the 30m Pendennis Nostromo

Built by the renowned Pendennis Shipyard in collaboration with Dubois Yachts, her experienced owner's aspirations were achieved when Nostromo was launched in Falmouth, England in 2009. Nostromo delivers what every discerning sailor expects - Performance, function, Style and Comfort.

At her launch the Owner commented “I am pleased that all the effort put into the detailed design of Nostromo has borne fruit. I have an elegant and spacious all-weather performance yacht, which I am sure will give all who sail in her great pleasure and satisfaction. I am glad to have placed my faith in the UK’s only custom superyacht builder, and congratulate Pendennis on fully justifying this. Throughout the project, the Pendennis team have been totally dedicated and professional. They have not let me down. I thank them, and wish them well.”

Nostromo 's hull and rig are designed expressly for high performance under sail. The impressive four spreader Hall Spars mast and boom is constructed of seamless carbon fiber, generating a 60% weight reduction and resulting in significantly reduced roll and heel. Nostromo is not only beautiful, fast and commodious; she is also strong, sound and has extraordinary power and endurance.

Every element of design has been carried out with careful attention to safety and reliability. The deck surfaces are clear from obstructing hardware and equipment is out of sight yet easy to access, such as the hydraulic crane standing by ready to launch the jet tender whenever required.

Her deck layout, superstructure and hull lines follow the best Dubois concepts to combine fantastic sailing performance with practical, all-weather comfort and usability. The exterior design and naval architecture is sleek and elegant. On deck, she offers spacious "al fresco" dining for 12 guests and vast deck space with plenty of sun lounging areas.

Nostromo boasts a beautiful interior designed by Redman Whitely Dixon. A stunning contrast of birch and walnut woods complement her sophisticated décor. The light interior has a split-level saloon allowing light to flood in through the 180' panoramic windows ideal to relax and enjoy an unforgettable holiday. The saloon is spacious and is designed for both flexibility and function.

The four guest cabins located aft are configured to sleep seven guests comfortably, and two further guests on Pullman berths. All cabins are beautifully appointed with the latest audiovisual technology.

Nostromo is available for charter through Edmiston in the West Med and Adriatic this Summer. Her weekly rates EUR 45,000 ( Low Season) / EUR 50,000 ( High season).
