SuperYacht Special: The Azimut Leonardo 100

Big, enormous, immense. These words best describe the new Azimut Leonardo 100, a yacht that is in a class of her own, with its innovative & revolutionary (re)invention of space.

Azimut Yachts chose the exclusive event DeLuxe Porto Cervo Rhapsody as the venue to present the new Azimut 100 Leonardo, a superlative product from the shipyards of Azimut Yachts.

By now at its sixth edition, DeLuxe transformed the Old Port in Porto Cervo into a magical location where leading brands in the world of luxury goods gathered last 19 and 20 June: apart from the splendid Azimut yacht, there were also quintessential products from the fashion, automobile and jewellery sectors, with names such as La Perla, Lamborghini, and Bulgari.

The main deck of the new Leonardo 100, which measures 30 metres from bow to stern, is shrouded in elegance and is dedicated to comfort. Large surface areas have been opened up and the divisions typically found in more traditional yachts have been removed.

The Leonardo 100 has a large and inviting aft deck, with a large built-in u-shaped settee, that can be turned into a comfortable sunbed. With the aft doors completely opened, her interior dining room becomes part of the aft deck, and offers a wonderful alfresco dining option.

The flybridge above features a dining area, sunpads and a Jacuzzi and is protected by an innovative hard top in fibreglass and crystal glass.

In the bow area, between the lines traced by the handrails that seem never-ending, a spacious third lounging area has been designed, perfect for breakfast, or sunbathing.

Privacy on board the Leonardo 100 is guaranteed at all times, a dedicate route for the crew never crosses paths with those of the guests. This ensures that the crew can move around without guests even noticing they are there.

Viewed from inside, the new Azimut Leonardo 100 is an exclusive loft with a grand view of the sea. The main salon alone is unique by its sheer size and elegant furnishings. The use of teak on the aft deck is continued in the main salon, uniting the exterior with the interior.

The interior furnishings are designed so that they do not obstruct any window area, even partially, and let the light flood into the large lounge. The main furniture in the main salon is made of loose element, which can be arranged differently for any occasion.

The lower deck is designed to offer more space to the master suite set in the centre of the yacht. With large rectangular windows on both sides, it covers an incredibly large surface area. The level of comfort is as high as possible with ample space in the wardrobes, vanity area and bathroom, that features a large whirlpool shower.

The master suite has scenic windows with portholes that can be opened. Natural light also floods into the VIP and guest cabins that have horizontal windows and portholes, respectively.

The mahogany-tinted zebrano wood furniture stands out on the teak flooring and contrasts with the panelling covered in light beaded Alcantara fabric which gives off bright, golden reflections. The contrast between the dark, noble wood and the cream, ivory and yellow of the surfaces gives a strong, vibrant look to the interior.

Of all the flying bridges from Azimut Yachts, the new 100 Leonardo is a class unto itself: the profile offers sensations of great sportsmanship and extreme elegance. According to the yard, The Azimut 100 Leonardo is only the first of the incredible surprises that Azimut Yachts have in store for 2009.
