I was shocked to find out that the recycle price of basic stuff like paper, plastics, steel and aluminum have plummeted due to a sudden drop in demand. I just came back from a recycling centre in Sungai Besi and for informed that the prices for the following item have dropped substantially.
Paper is now priced at RM0.25 per kg from RM0.30 per kg. Plastic is now priced at RM0.20 per kg from RM1.00 per kg. Steel is also priced at RM0.20 per kg from RM1.00 per kg while aluminum is now priced at RM2.00 per kg from RM5.00 per kg.
This shows that the global recession is very real and will impact as all!
