Switzerland trip - Day 2 - Dinner than off to Engelberg for Skiing!
Sunset was early, around 5 pm during winter time in Zurich. After the watch museum visit, it was time for dinner. The restaurant was called Schuetzenhaus Albisguetli. It is a famous restaurant and event hall in Zurich where life music are played. The food is mid-range in standard. While we were there for dinner, the management was preparing the event room for a big country and western music festival.
Below is a picture of two of my kids next to a big Harley Davidson bike which happens to be the sponsoring brand for this particular music festival.
After dinner, we headed towards Engelberg which would take about 2 hours drive time. It was must unfortunate that we headed up the mountains at night as we could not see anything out of the window. Moreover, the jet lag started to kick in and everyone was asleep during that journey. I was trying to open my eyes but I couldn't.
By 9:00 pm, we arrived at Engelberg and headed towards the hotel called Hotel Central. By then there were street lamps and we can see the beautiful snow drifts all around us.
As there were 5 of us, the hotel put us up in their family suite which was just awesome! Two of my girls got a room with an attached living room (including TV).
My wife, my youngest and myself got the master bedroom.
There were two toilets provided.
Apart from that, there was a living room with a working fire place.
The roof decorated with copper plates!
See the amount of bags just for the 5 of us! This is a view of the small eating area plus the kitchenette.
The private staircase to the apartment suite.
Tomorrow we will be going skiing and indulging in some serious winter sports.

Nice!~ Love looking at hotels from different countries. Definitely good use of space but most chinese don't like to many edges =(
The Europeans now like straight lines, similar to IKEA designers.
I guess the horrors of the Baroque architecture for the last 400 years could be the reason...
simple and amazing deco, nice.
