Mekkah Trip 02: The Hotel and Clock Tower




The hotel that I had the privilege to stay in while in Mekkah is the Zam-Zam Tower Hotel. This hotel is part of the massive complex of hotels surrounding the Mekkah Clock tower, taunted as the tallest and biggest clock tower in the world.

As shown in the picture below, constructions on other buildings around it is still ongoing. This picture was taken when the sun was behind the clock tower. Zam-Zam towers in the on the right, just beside the clock tower.


The hotel itself has more than 50 commercial as well as residential floors. I was told by the management that it has 1,154 rooms.

Below is another view of the same complex taken from the top of the Grand Mosque just after daybreak.
