After exactly 2 year and 1 month, my HP laptop finally died on me. The demise was sudden and unexpected. It just refuses to run although it still showed power going into the thing.
As it had passed the guarantee period for the laptop, I decided to try an independent repairer to see whether it can be repaired. Initial diagnostics showed that the motherboard was the cause of the problem. Chances are it will not be repaired as it is cheaper and more cost effective to get a new one anyway.
