Income Tax reporting period is here again – do it now!

This is time of year that Malaysians with taxable income do the needful and declare their individual tax returns. For the last couple of years, it has been made easier with the introduction of the on-line submission option. The deadline is 20 April 2010.

For most of us, our employers have yet to prepare the B.E. form for us to refer for the taxman. Nevertheless, it does not mean that we cannot start completing the forms now. In fact, I have been doing just that so that I would not be caught by the mad rush at the end. Under the electronic method, you are allowed to partially fill in the form and keep it on KIV as you get other relevant information.
