Recipe Review: Barbecued Chicken Drumsticks

Tasty barbecued drumsticks with maple syrup can be made with drumsticks or chicken leg quarters.

Ingredients:

* 3 to 4 tablespoons melted butter
* 8 chicken drumsticks
* salt and pepper
* 1/2 cup maple syrup
* 2 tablespoons chili sauce
* 2 tablespoons ketchup
* 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice
* 2 tablespoons grated onion
* 1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* A dash of Tabasco or chili sauce

Preparations:

Heat oven to 375°.

Coat chicken drumsticks with butter; sprinkle all over with salt and pepper. Place in a lightly greased baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a boil, stirring. Lower heat to medium-low; simmer for 10 minutes. Brush drumsticks with the mixture and bake for about 10 minutes longer, until chicken is done. Serves 4.
