On day 7, we headed towards San Diego for Sea World. This bus trip is slighly longer than usual amount 1:20 hours heading south from Anaheim, close to the Mexican border.
The highway was along the coast. We could see the sea.
Undulating grassland. This is a famous military base, Miramar Airforce Base where Top Gun was filmed.
A couple of nuclear reactor power stations. So unassuming.
We have arrived. Again, wonderful weather to head into the park.
Polar bear mascot.
Interesting migratory birds nesting on the roof of buildings.
View of the whale share in its pool. Awesome.
The park has lots of pools where different animals reside. Below is dolphin world.
Here you can feed and touch the dolphins.
These animals are very sociable and friendly. Love to play around and entertain the crowds.
Another pool is where stingrays live.
For this area, a special underground tunnel has been dug for visitors to see the animal from the bottom of the pool.
The first show by the killer whales explains its habitat and biology.
Note the lack of crowd. Just the way I like it.
What a magnificent animal.
