The Pyramid of Giza, Cairo, Egypt

In 2008, I had the opportunity to visit Cairo, Egypt for a business trip. When a free period presents itself, my colleague and I, with the help of our local counterpart took us for a visit to the Pyramids of Giza. It was afternoon when we got there and the sun rays on the stones makes it look golden.

We took a donkey cart ride to go from one pyramid to another as the whole complex was huge.

Compare the previous picture and the one below. The angle of the sun makes a huge difference in the colour of the stones and dessert.
