Surrounding the Shangrila Hotel Makati are a number of shopping malls (please refer to: http://meoramri.blogspot.com/2012/04/shangrila-hotel-makati-manila-pictures.html and http://meoramri.blogspot.com/2012/04/shangrila-hotel-makati-manila.html for pictures and comments about the hotel).
Outside the hotel, there are a number of low-rise scommercial buildings with shopping as well as restaurant outlet. In the picture below shows a number of famous global restaurant chains.
The most prestigious the the Greenbelt Malls. There are a number of buildings that make up this shopping paradise, each numbered from 1 to 5. Although one needs to cross a very busy six lane road from the hotel, there are elevated pedestrian crossings provided. See below.
Here is a picture of one which I took.
All the famous high-end outlets are available here.
For the watch enthusiast like myself, the Harry Winston Boutique is a must see. Below is the entrance to that boutique for a higher floor. The products are deemed so exclusive that drapes are drawn behind the glass walls to that casual shoppers cannot see what is on display. Defeats the purpose of having a display glass wall!!
The Mall is very modern and there are a lot of merchants doing business here.
