Shangrila Hotel Makati, Manila - pictures from the hotel

While I was in Manila recently, I stayed at the Shangrila Hotel Makati (please visit: http://meoramri.blogspot.com/2012/04/manila-trip-april-2012-trip-to-hotel.html for an earlier blog entry on the trip from the airport to the hotel). A 5 star hotel, it has all the trappings. The lobby is very grand and the staircases that goes up left and right of the lobby to the mezzanine floor looks like the one on Titanic (a slight exaggeration).

The room that I got was a superior class that was on the 10th floor. The lift that took me to my floor was decorated and has the same design like in the lobby - very woody and natural.

On the 10th floor, the floor lobby was also tastefully decorated. There was also a large chandelier!

My room was 1003. It comes with a king size bed, a couch as well as a working desk.

Some fresh fruits were also thrown in.

In the picture below you can the the TV, the connecting door as well as the mini bar.

Internet is complimentary and this room has wireless capability. In fact, the whole hotel was wireless and its complimentary (even for visitors!). No 5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur provides such a service.

Wood is the main material used like the rest of the hotel.

For the bathroom, marble and glass are the main materials used. Relatively large and comes with an enclosed shower room.

It also comes with a bathtub.

The WC.

The shower room again.

I have no complaints about the hotel. However, I do have something good to say about the staff at the hotel. Simply MARVELOUS. Everyone of them is friendly. Even the security guards at the entrance of the hotel totting sub-machine guns and attack dogs would greet you when you walk by. This is something that we should all learn.
