Oh heck, someone hit the back of my car!

After 1 year and 4 months of owning a pristine new car, my Merc got its first serious dent. Due to a taxi trying to swerve from right to the left lane to get a passanger, I had to apply the emergency brake and a motorcyclist behind me slammed to the left of the back of the car.

At least no one was injured.

As for damage; dent, paint chip and a long gash (due to the handlebar).

I am surprised by my reaction to the whole crash. I was calm and most interestingly, I was not concerned about the car at all. I guess I have reached a level of maturity where a car is just a tool and should not be cried over.

Tomorrow will be a busy day sorting out the police report as well as getting the car repaired.
