Stephen Huish unveils designs for 62m and 70m Icon superyachts

Stephen Huish of Stephen Huish Yacht Design has unveiled his latest design for the innovative Dutch shipyard Icon Yachts BV to SuperYachtTimes.com; the Icon 62 and the Icon 70. These are the first exterior designs created by the London based designer, who has worked on many award-winning projects with Icon Yachts’ CEO Wim Koersvelt during his time with Donald Starkey Designs.

About the design brief Huish gave to himself he said, “I wanted to create a much simpler look than previous designs, yet to bring a fresh, youthful feel to the design. This design encompasses the feeling of speed with its angled sides and windscreens, yet retaining a simplicity for ease of production.”

The yachts have many innovative design features which are ‘its best kept secret’. Like all Icon yachts, the designs are based around the single optimised platform and all the ship’s already engineered elements, thus providing a potential owner with a proven and a tried and tested platform with a very competitive price.
