Wild boar versus humans

The conflict between the animal kingdom and humans is becoming very apparent even to me. These set of pictures were taken during a fishing trip to Sembilan Island, off Pangkor. This island is uninhabited.

Nevertheless, there are dangerous animals living on the island and for this island, wild boars are the kings of the jungle. While enjoying a lazy picnic by the beach after a day of fishing on a boat, we were interrupted by an unwanted visitor. The reputation of wild boars what would just attack humans are etched in our minds, so we were very mindful as this particular animal approached our party.

What surprises us is that it was not scared of humans and instead able to come close to us without even flinching or even make any warning grunts. We guess it must have had human contacts before and appears to be very happy with nasi lemak!
