Fincantieri and H2 Yacht Design unveil project Mars

Creating a yacht below 3000 GRT, with a futuristic, unique martial exterior profile whose lines gently glide into balanced, relaxing, linear, clean, modern and comfortable interior environments. This was H2's brief for the design of Fincantieri's project Mars.

Casual yet sophisticated, minimal yet homely, this mature contemporary interior, combined with a crisp linear design discipline, creates pure understated luxury. The materials convey warmth and variation of tone and texture, whilst providing a refined elegance without excess. Raw rustic detailing, neutral panels in leather or paint with accents of rich stone or timber combine to form a cool modern look.

From aft, a distinctive horseshoe seating arrangement adorns the transom. A Further exterior lounge area is connected to the Main Saloon where an enclosed living garden separates you from the back lit bar. The spacious saloon with its feature back lit onyx fireplace and multiple lounge areas lead you on to the entrance lobby where you are greeted with an impressive dual aspect double height space linking the main deck to the owner’s deck above.

Enhanced by a glass bridge and seamless oval balustrade, this multifunctional space which converts to a formal dining area, is flanked by further exterior lounge areas and balconies. Further forward, a luxurious VIP Cabin, children’s quarters and guest cabins, which convert to generous suites by the use of a simple sliding partition hidden in a central media unit.

The Owner’s Deck is, as expected, fully dedicated to the Owner’s personal requirements. From aft, a private lounge bar and al fresco dining area are present on the aft deck. Forward, a contemporary yet homely lounge area with large fireplace makes for an inviting environment to relax with the family. A glass coffee table provides a view through the deck to the main guest saloon below. Through the open lobby and across the glass bridge is the owner’s cabin entrance. Another small lobby leads you through the open dressing area and onto an imaginative bathroom layout, where a fully glazed bath cubicle and adjustable mirrored panel separate the twin wash basins from the bed head.

The Owner’s Suite enhances the openness of space through the use of a sliding mirrored partition which provides adjustable privacy between bathroom and bedroom. A large oval skylight located directly above the master bed, panoramic views and direct access to the foredeck sun beds and pool make this the ultimate Owner’s cabin.

A large office space with spectacular views occupies the aft interior of the Bridge Deck, offering quick access to the helideck on the aft deck. On the deck above, a central pool surrounded by dining areas and sunbeds is the perfect hang out for the sun worshipper.

A starboard side Beach Club, with direct access to the sea via a swim platform, includes a large gym, Jacuzzi and lounge area, all of which offer impressive sea views. Forward, a sauna and steam room are separated by a cylindrical shower.
