Malaysian Politics: No-confidence vote

It is interesting that SAPP decided to file for this motion in Parliament. What would be its motivation to do so? Looking at the component parties of the BN, the likelihood it will get additional handful of votes apart from SAPP's MP is low.

Nevertheless, history is being made. This current PM will be the first to be faced with such a motion. Personally, with such open emotion against his leadership, I think he should just be a man and bow out gracefully and without fuss.
