"International Herald Tribune (Jun 01, 2008: Malaysia has put off plans to ban foreign-registered vehicles from filling up on subsidized gasoline in its border areas with Singapore and ..."
I am now confused. First they say, the refueling will be banned. Now, there is no ban. What is going on? Was there political pressure from the petrol pump association to force the authorities to rescind the original plan?
Logically, there is no reason to stop this ban. First of all, none of the foreign cars pay any fees to be allowed to drive on Malaysian roads. So they should not be given any subsidised fuel anyway. Second, fuel should not be though as the the main reason why people visit this country. Even if it is the reason, we should discourage this notion immediately. We want people to visit this country because of its beauty not taking away subsidies!
I demand to know the real reason. Do you as well?
