Location Review: Botanical Gardens, Putrajaya (3)

Took this picture at the Botanical Gardens using my camera phone.

Above is an example of a typical Malaysian mangrove palm tree found throughout the mangrove forests around Malaysia. As you can see, the root system is very thick and extend very high up the trunk of the tree. Interestingly, this example is growing quite happily on normal ground.
