Is Greed a good thing?

Today I published a new survey about this very question: is greed a good thing? Since I last checked, one submission has been received with a vote for YES.

In all honesty, human culture is all about maximising utility (same concept as in economics). Therefore, maximising is an act of profiteering and hence a reflection of greed. Greed on its own is neutral. It is just an expression of a natural need in humans.

It is when an action of taking away something from someone else illigally that is considered bad. Unfortunately, people always mistaken this for greed.
